W Dollars (W$)

In addition to Tournament Dollars, PokerStars also offers special W$. W$ can be used to register into any qualifying special PokerStars event.

Special poker events currently include:

• PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA)
• European Poker Tour (EPT)
• PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP)
• * World Series of Poker (*WSOP)
• World Poker Tour Championship (WPT)

When you win a seat in one of the W$ special events, for example a seat in the 2005 PCA-WPT event in the Bahamas, you must play the event and will not be allowed to unregister. If you win multiple seats in the same event, the value of these seats will be automatically credited to your W$ account. If you win a seat to a satellite for a W$ special event, you have the option to unregister from the satellite and receive W$. W$ can be used to register in any W$ special event.

Many events will not allow you to unregister until one hour prior to the event. In that case, you may email PokerStars support to have them unregister you immediately. What are Pokerstars W$ T$?

Pokerstars T$ and Pokerstars W$ are a special form of currency offered by Pokerstars. This currency is earned by winning a seat to a tournament through a satellite tournament for one of Pokerstars weekly events. These tournaments include: the Pokerstars Sunday Million, Sunday Warm-up, Sunday Hundred Grand and more. A satellite tournament is a tournament where the prize is a buy in to a larger tournament. For instance, you can play a Sunday Million satellite for as little as $3. The winner of this tournament will win a buy in to the Sunday Million tournament which is a value of either $215 or $530 depending on the week of the event.

If you were to win multiple seats to this tournament, your account would be credited with T$. If you are unable to participate in the event, or if you would prefer not to play, you have the option of unregistering. When you unregister, your account will be credited with the value of the buy in, in T$.

Pokerstars T$ can be used to buy in to any tournament including sit & go tournaments. T$ can NOT be used for cash games or CANNOT be cashed out.

Pokerstars also offers another form of currency they call W$. W$ are earned in the same way as T$, but are won through special event satellite tournaments. These events include: WSOP, WPT, EPT, APPT, WCOOP, and various other special tournaments. As with pokerstars T$, W$ can NOT be cashed out or used for cash games. Pokerstars W$ can be used to buy in to these special event tournaments only. The value of W$ is much lower since there are fewer ways of using W$.

The reason to sell your T$ and W$ is obvious, either you can't participate in the target event or you would prefer the guaranteed CASH. The reason to buy W$ is if you are planning on playing a W$ event or satellite and you want to save a little money doing so.
